AT&T incentives data iPhoneDALLAS, USA – Continuing with the known internet issues that have been stalking AT&T since the beginning of the current month, CEO Ralph de la Vega, intimated that the network might establish a tiered data plan structure in order to reduce the 3% of its smartphones users who chew up 40% of AT&T data.

According to the Wall Street Journal, giving “incentives” for smartphone owners would be AT&T’s plans, which would lead to less data use from smartphone owners to a magnitude that the company would establish as acceptable. Despite being a difficult limit to set, consumers believe that the company’s aim would be to reduce the wide amount of YouTube uploads, Qik streaming, podcast downloading, and all kind of data from those who are using their iPhone to the limit.

Exact details of the network’s plans are not available yet, but any move similar to this is criticized as it hinders its development.
