Apple Watch Arrives to Compete Against Android Wear
CUPERTINO, USA – Tech giant Apple has unveiled its first smartwatch, the Apple Watch, that comes in three distinct collections: Apple Watch made of stainless steel, Apple Watch Edition made with 18 karat gold, and Apple Watch Sport made of anodized aluminum.
The Apple Watch hosts a Retina display with Force Touch technology to differentiate between a tap and touch. It comes with a Digital Crown dial on the side allowing users to swap through the menu. The device has a rectangular, flexible display that comes in two sizes of 38mm and 42mm.
The smartwatch comes with multiple customizable 11 different watchfaces. It allows users to text their contacts with gestures and emoji. Users will also be able to get an access to maps for navigation purpose by using this timepiece. Other connectivity options for the watch include Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi.
Apple has also released an SDK called WatchKit that allows developers to explore the possibilities of its smartwatch. The Apple Watch has a Activity and Workout to measure your fitness metrics, and will be available early next year in 2015 for $349.
