iPhone lock screenCUPERTINO, USA – The new iOS 6.1 update for Apple devices has a few more issues in it. Following the iOS 6.1 Exchange bug, the update also proved vulnerable to a security threat, allowing anyone bypass the secured iPhone lockscreen to access the data inside it.

The security bypass can be performed in a few steps, which are shown clearly through many videos. The act can be performed by accessing the emergency call section of the smartphone. This also involves holding the power button of the smartphone without turning it off. Once these actions are performed step by step, the security code requirement is overridden and the phone’s internal details can be accessed.

All of these actions can be performed within a few seconds. This new security flaw grants access to anyone’s iPhone data, such as photos, voicemails, and contact numbers. Apple has acknowledged this problem and it seems to be working on a fix.
