stealing iPhone thiefNEW YORK, USA – In increasing number of cases, the support plan for Apple’s iPhone seems very useful not only for the owners, but also for the thieves of such devices.

The practical decision that any phone that is under warranty is serviced and accepted in Apple Stores seems a wonderful idea an the first glance, but it seems that there is no procedure to sort out eventual theft cases. From all over the USA there are reports of stolen iPhones ending up in Apple Stores for real or fake repairs aiming replacement or discounts of new units.

This problem is becoming more and more known, as a recently discovered internal New York Police report states that 70% of the stolen phones in 2011 are iPhones. This fact combined with the lack of reaction from Apple, witnessed by costumers and mobile operators may prove as a serious problem for everyone who owns an iPhone.
