MINATO, Japan – Sony has added the Xperia T2 Ultra and the Xperia E1 to its Android portfolio. The two mobile devices come with their dual-SIM variants and are specifically launched in the mid-range segment.

The Ultra tag keeps the Xperia T2 in its phablet segment like the Xperia Z Ultra. Thus prospective customers who want to have a larger device and a reasonable cost, Xperia T2 is now available for them.

Being a phablet, the Sony Xperia T2  sports a 6-inch 720p HD display, a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage with microSD support, 13MP rear and 1.1MP front-facing camera, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE, and NFC. It has a heavy duty battery of 3000mAh to light up the 6” screen and ensure longer hours of operation. The device works on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and even though it is rather large, it weighs just 172 grams. Its global availability is still unclear, but reports allege that it is geared towards Middle East, China, Africa and Asia Pacific. The Sony Xperia T2 will be priced somewhere near €400.

The Sony Xperia E1 comes with a 4” display with 480×800 pixels in resolution. It offers a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM8210) processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage with microSD support, a 3MP primary camera, a considerably loud 100dB speaker and a sufficiently strong 1700mAh battery.
