Panasonic Showcases Toughpad FZ-E1 and FZ-X1

BARCELONA, Spain – Panasonic has announced two new smartphones, FZ-E1 and FZ-X1, for its Toughpad family.

Although both phones are alike for most part of the features, there are few primary differences in specs and the shipment timings.

While the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-E1 is powered on a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and brings Windows Embedded 8 Handheld, the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-X1 runs on a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset and has Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The features that are shared mutually by both the phones include a 5-inch display, 8MP rear camera with flash, 1.3MP front camera, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microHDMI and a considerably-large 6200mAh battery. Plus, the phones support 3G and LTE network connectivity. Additional features include water and dust proof functionality with drop resistance from a height of 3m.

The Panasonic Touchpad FZ-E1 will be released in June whereas the Panasonic Touchpad FZ-X1 will go on sale around the end of August, both bound for Japan market. Nothing is mentioned with regard to prices.
