MWC: LG Adds L40, L70 and L90 to L Series III

BARCELONA, Spain – Korean electronics giant LG has announced the LG G2 mini and the LG G Pro 2, and added the LG L40, LG L70 and LG L90 to its L Series III line.

Besides the phone announcements, LG has also introduced new UX features along with all those present in its G series models to cater to new global audience. These features include Plug and Pop, Clip Tray, Guest Mode and capture Plus.

Taking a look at its specs, the LG G2 Mini has a 4.7-inch qHD IPS screen with 960×540 resolution, a 1.2 GHZ quad-core Qualcomm processor with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage with SD card slot. The device sports an 8 megapixel primary and a 1.3MP secondary camera and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.

LG G2 Mini

LG has kept a substantial battery provision with a 2400mAh removable battery. The device comes in different variants, such as Single/Dual SIM and 3G/4G LTE versions available in different color variants including Red, Titan Black, Gold and Lunar white, depending on different regions. The LG G2 mini is believed to hit the markets in March.

LG als0 unveiled three new smartphones under its L Series tag at the MWC 2014. The three different smatphone that LG showcased are the LG L90, LG L70 and the LG L40. The three smartphones feature the enhanced UX features, and in terms of specs, they are almost the same with some minor differences in each model.

The three models will have the same computing brain with a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM, an IPS display – with the L90 having a 4.7-inch screen, L70 having a 4.5-inch display and the L40 having a 3.5 inch display. Each of the three devices works on 3G/HSPA networks and run  on Android 4.4 KitKat.

The L90 and L70 have a 8MP primary camera whereas the L40 is devoid of any camera. Battery capacities will be different for all three models owing to their different screen size.

The three L Series smartphones will be launched in the mid-range segment.

After much success with the LG G Pro, LG introduced the second version of the smartphone, the LG G Pro 2, at the same event in Spain. This high-end smartphone sports a 5.9-inch full HD display with extremely thin bezels of 3.3mm. LG demonstrated the new Knock Code system, making it easy to unlock the LG G Pro 2.

At the handset’s heart lies a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with an Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB DDR3 RAM. The device has two different storage variants of 16GB/32GB and a provision for microSD slot for any additional memory. Its primary camera is a 13MP sensor with OIS+ (optical image stabilization) whereas its front camera is 2.1MP.

The device runs on the Android KitKat 4.4 and comes with a substantial battery capacity of 3200mAh. The LG G Pro 2 comes with various other features, such as 120FPs video recording, Magic focus, flash for selfie, gallery collage, content lock, mini view and many more.

The LG G Pro 2 is available in three different color variants of White, Silver and Titan Black.
