HP 8 1401 tablet

At the Mobile World Congress 2014, the manufacturer had announced a set of tablets based on Windows 8.1, and now the computer magnate launched an 8” Android tablet. HP has seemingly forgotten to give it a catchy name, as for now it is known as HP 8 1401 Tablet.

The exact dimension of the screen is 7.85 inches, and has a rather low resolution of 1024×768 pixels looking to its screen size. At its heart is bakes a Allwinner A31 quad-core processor, which is popular in China, but has yet to make a mark in the international market. The tablet runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, sport a 2MP camera at the back and a VGA unit at the front.

The device offers 16GB internal storage with microSD support and a set of stereo speakers. It measures 7.95mm thickness and offers a comfortable and handy grip in hand.

The HP 8 tablet is listed at the company’s own webstore with a $170 price tag attached to it.
