Nokia X+ and Nokia XL with Android Hit India

NEW DELHI, India – Microsoft Devices has recently announced the launch of Nokia X+ and Nokia XL in India.

The company, during the launch of the Nokia X in March, had announced that it would bring these two handsets within 60 days. The Nokia X+ comes with a bit topped up RAM of 768MB instead of the 512MB RAM on the Nokia X. The Nokia X+ runs on Android Open Source Project (AOSP).

Looking at its specs, the Nokia X+ sports a 4-inch capacitive touch screen display with 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. The device runs on Nokia X software platform 1.0 based on AOSP Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The handset has got only a primary 3MP camera. It has 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage along with microSD expansion slot. The Nokia X+ is a Dual SIM handset and comes with 1500mAh of battery capacity.

On the other hand, the Nokia XL is its larger sibling and comes with a 5-inch capacitive touch screen display, 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, Nokia X software platform 1.0 based on AOSP Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage with microSD card expansion and 2000mAh of battery capacity.

The Nokia X+ and Nokia XL are available for Rs 8,399 and Rs 11,489. The Nokia XL is available in India while the Nokia X+ will go on sale next month. Airtel customers can get 500MB of 2G or 3G data for free for 3 months.
