OnePlus One Brings CyanogenMod Out of the Box

HONG KONG and SHENZHEN, China – The OnePlus One smartphone has been officially announced this week, with camera samples, specs, StyleSwaps back cover and other features published on the web.

The OnePlus One features a 5.5 “ Full HD display with 401 ppi pixel density, a quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset and 3GB RAM. The device hosts a 13MP rear camera with a Sony Exmor sensor, 16GB internal storage with 64GB of microSD expansion, CyanogenMod 11S and 3100mAh of battery capacity (non-removable ). The device measures 8.9mm thin and weighs 168 grams.

For a much-needed style quotient, the OnePlus One comes with StyleSwap back covers that are available in different flavors of wood styles, denims and leather along with a black and white dotted pattern ones.

The OnePlus One is powered with a special version CyanogenMod 11S based on the Android 4.4 KitKat. There are few screenshots released showing how the OnePlus One runs apps, giving a unique launcher, custom theme, icons and lockscreen.

As of April 23rd, the OnePlus One is available in 16 different countries, where it retails from $299.
