Sony Xperia ZR Durable Waterproof Android Smartphone Announced
MINATO, Japan – Smartphone maker Sony has announced a new durable smartphone with waterproofing ability, the Sony Xperia ZR, which comes as a high-end device.
This smartphone is also touted to support underwater photography at up to 1.5 meters (5 feet) deep water. Moreover, it can last underwater for up to 30 minutes.

It features a 4.6-inch display screen that offers visuals at HD resolution, and a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Other notable components in this high-end smartphone include 2 GB RAM, a 13 MP primary camera, 8 GB internal storage, 4G LTE support, 3G, NFC and a 2300 mAh battery.
Another key attraction of the Sony Xperia ZR is that it offers a range of entertainment features for the user. The BRAVIA Engine 2 allows users to get high-quality display output. The preloaded apps in this handset provide access to a range of songs and movies.
The manufacturer has mentioned that the Sony Xperia ZR will hit market shelves in the second quarter of 2013.
