SEOUL, South Korea – According to reports, Samsung is releasing the Galaxy S4 Mini, a miniature version of the recently announced Galaxy S4, as early as June.

The Samsung Galaxy S4, which was announced earlier this month, features a 5-inch screen, an 8-core Exynos 5 Octa processor (international version) or a 1.9 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU (U.S. version), 2GB of RAM, 13 MP and 2 MP cameras, LTE connectivity, Android Jelly Bean customized with TouchWiz and exclusive software features like Smart Alerts, Smart Stay, and Smart scroll.

The Galaxy S4 Mini is expected to feature many of the design cues and features from the larger 5-inch Galaxy S4, although it would have a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, which is still a tad larger than the 4-inch iPhone 5.

In addition, the Galaxy S4 Mini won’t sport the 1920 x 1080 resolution of the bigger model (possibly just 540 x 960 pixels) and the quad-core/octa-core chips, bringing a 1.6GHz dual-core chipset instead.
