MWC: Huawei Shows Ascend D Quad XL, MediaPad 10 Tablet

Huawei MediaPad 10 MWCBARCELONA, SpainHuawei officially announced the introduction of a new tablet called the Huawei MediaPad 10 and two new powerful smartphones named the Huawei Ascend D1 and the Huawei Ascend D quad XL.

The new Huawei Mediapad 10 will offer users a range of features that include a 10.1 inch screen running at a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, the new Huawei K3V2 quad-core processor, Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) OS installed on the device, 2GB in RAM, 4G LTE connectivity and an 8 megapixel rear camera.

The two smartphones that have been announced, the Ascend D1 and the Ascend D quad XL are very similar in their design although the Ascend D quad XL is being seen as the flagship smartphone for Huawei and is being touted as the fastest quad-core smartphone in the world. The specs for the Ascend D quad XL include a Huawei K3V2 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, a 4.5 inch 720p touchscreen, Android ICS 4.0 OS, 4G LTE support, and rear mounted 8 megapixel camera and a 2500mAh battery.

The Ascend D1 has a similar spec but has a slower 1.5GHz dual-core processor and a slighter smaller 1670mAh battery.

The release dates for the Huawei MediaPad 10, Ascend D1 and Ascend D Quad XL are expected to be the second quarter of 2012 but so far there has been no information regarding the pricing of any of these devices.
