LG Optimus Q2SEOUL, South Korea – LG is all set to reveal its new high-end smartphones, one of them being the LG Optimus Q2. The device runs on Google Android and has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The LG Optimus range is known for its power and high-end features, and the Optimus Q2 does not disappoint on this front. It is touted that LG Optimus Q2 will house a 1.2GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor that is said to outperform the T-Mobile G2X (LG Optimus 2X).

The all-new design of the Q2 also incorporates a mammoth sized 4-inch display with IPS technology resulting in much sharper and clearer images. The test result showed an 700-nit output on the display.

The design has been kept in mind to eliminate the extra bulk that has become a standard part of slider handsets, while working on improving increasing the comfort level over the original LG Optimus Q. The Q2 is reportedly tenth of an inch thinner than rivals, and almost 0.35 ounces lighter than the original Optimus Q. The handset also has a 5-megapixel camera, but supports Wi-Fi direct, for direct connectivity of devices, and helps boosts multiplayer gaming.

The LG Optimus Q2 is expected to be launched in South Korea next weekend, and it may be arriving on the Sprint network as the LG Optimus Q.
