Bada 2.0 new featuresSEOUL, South KoreaBada 2.0, the Samsung operating system, has finally made an entry into the scene with some major updates to the Bada ecosystem.

Bada 2.0 includes accelerated functions, which covers communication, multimedia, technologies, and has also integrated with newer and more effective tools.

Bada 2.0 also provides with a vast developer support, this was a very needed support as Samsung knew it would not stand anywhere, if it had no developers, Bada would be a dying ecosystem if there were no proper apps, also with enriched business opportunity.

The platform is blessed with accelerated functions with the introduction of multitasking, so now hearing songs on the music player and surfing the web is now a reality.

Near Field Communication (NFC) has become a part of the OS now, with future payments, pairing with devices and other communications between devices rapidly depending on NFC, this is really a welcome call for the device and ecosystem.

Wi-Fi Direct is an all-new approach where as one handset will be the host, and the other devices once allowed by the host can also use the same Wi-Fi connection without any access points, this will be a great app when a multi-palyer game is being played between supported devices.

The OpenAL library provides with a very good sound interface on the device, and with http streaming, developers can build good quality internet radio apps or create an advanced gaming interface.

Bada 2.0 also gets Voice recognition, so Test-to-Speech and Speech-to-Text is a part of it.

Extended Developer Coverage is another feature with the Bada 2.0, so now there are personalized lockscreens for the handset which were earlier absent in the devices. Web developers are in for a real treat with the inclusion of HTML 5, WAC 2.0, JavaScript Framework. Advanced managing tools such as Profiler, Emulator, and Performance Analyzer will help developers to monitor their apps in a much better way and can help them to provide with the best results on the Bada 2.0 ecosystem.

The Bada 2.0 SDK (Software Developer Kit) is now available from
