ATT T-Mobile logoNEW YORK CITY, USANew York’s Attorney GeneralEric Schneiderman, said that he is going to review the deal between AT&T and T-Mobile. He is one of many Attorney Generals that claim the deal raises concerns.

Their concerns are based that the deal would bring forth a “near duopoly” in the wireless communications industry. By allowing this to happen, many low cost phone options would believed to be lost. This is entirely possible if 80% of customers on based in two companies, especially seeing as these are the two companies that a frequently blasted for their pricing by competition.

This is only the latest complaint against the proposed merger and will most likely not be the last. If this deal is ever going to happen it’s going to be a long, hard fight for AT&T so it will show how much AT&T really wants this deal to happen.
