T-Mobile G2 HTCBELLEVUE, USA – The upcoming T-Mobile G2 smartphone has received such an overwhelming response to its pre-order online booking, that the company has stopped further pre-booking for the handset. The updated website, where the bookings were on read “due to overwhelming demand, we’re no longer accepting pre-orders for the T-Mobile G2”.

However, from the 6th of October the phone will be available for online ordering but there is no fixed time, when the handsets will be shipped. The best way to procure this handset as soon as possible is at a local T-Mobile dealer.

Third party retailers such as Radio Shack (with two-years contract) and Best Buy will also be retailing this handset at a price of US$149.99 and US$199.99 respectively. The Radio Shack pricing is just between the Best Buy and T-Mobile (US$299). Though Best Buy has listed the handset as Coming soon. The G2 will also be available at US$499 at an off-contract price.

The initial response of the first users of the handset has been positive, and with the holiday season around the corner with the backing of an overwhelming pre-release hype, this phone might just make the cut.
