Samsung Corby Touch T566 Coming to Canada via Rogers
TORONTO, Canada – Rogers is bringing a new Samsung Corby handset to Canada. Called the Corby Touch T566, it lacks a keyboard and comes in a full-touch based form factor.
The device has a 3″ touchscreen with a resolution that leaves much to be desired, being only QVGA.
The phone uses Samsung’s proprietary TouchWIZ user interface, the software featureset includes an HTML browser, and integration with multiple social networks including Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. Bluetooth support is included in the handset.
Multimedia duties are handled by the included media player, which is furnished with a microSD memory card slot. A 2 megapixel camera is also present to take impromptu photographs.
The device will be available soon on Rogers Wireless. It is expected to be a Pay-G handset.
The Corby line of devices makes up the low-end of Samsung’s mobile phones. The devices are extremely popular, as these combine basic multimedia features with Samsung’s user friendly TouchWiz UI for touchscreens.
