Nokia Mural 6750

ESPOO, Finland and DALLAS, USA AT&T has decided to halt all sales of the Nokia Mural 6750 due to technical problems with the device. Apparently the software released with the phone has a configuration error,  leaving it incapable of connecting properly to AT&T’s 3G network (although the phone works in 2G mode). All resellers have been instructed to return the handsets to the network, who in turn will return them to Nokia for software updates.

There is no official word on when the model might reappear on the market. Phonescoop reports that AT&T offers customers a replacement Nokia Mural (with updated software) which will be available from September 21. Customers can, however, also choose to replace their Nokia Mural with another device.

The Nokia Mural 6750 is a budget flip phone running on S40, sold for US$50 to customers signing a two-year contract. Its characteristic feature is that it illuminates in different colors (blue, red, green, orange, purple and pink) when it is opened or closed or when receiving calls or messages. The use of colors can also be configured by the user.

The model also features dedicated external music keys, a 2.2″ QVGA screen, a 2 megapixel camera and microSD memory card support. Installed software includes instant messaging and e-mail. AT&T specific services supported include AT&T Mobile Music, AT&T Navigator and AT&T Video Share.
